The Licensing Wizard

The Licensing Wizard automatically runs the first time that the application is opened, allowing you to specify your license information. With the wizard you can review or update licensing info. To open the wizard, go to the Start menu and scroll to the JewelSuite application where you will find the Licensing Wizard next to it.

Open the Licensing Wizard and click Next.

There are four options for importing a license:

Use a local license file  This option allows you to browse for a license file on your hard drive.

Use a JewelSuite floating license from server  This allows you to import the license file from a local server by entering the server name.

Borrow / early return a license   This option allows you to borrow or return a license from or to your company’s floating license.

Retrieve a license from the JewelSuite Licensing Server  This option allows you to connect to the JewelSuite Licensing Server by entering your user name and assigned password to download your license file. While activating the license you have to select the network adapter, whose MAC address will be tied to the license. It is irrelevant which adapter you choose but it is recommended to select an Ethernet adapter over a WiFi adapter. As long as the adapter is available in the system, the link to the license is valid.

The user name and password are provided by SoftwareSupport@bakerhughes.com.

View Current License Status  This allows you to view your current license status information, including license type, feature information, server and port information.
Select the desired import option and click Next.
Depending on the import option selected, you may be asked to enter user and/or password information or specify where you want your local license to be saved. Once you have done so, click Next.
Click Finish to complete the license activation process.
