Model Output

With the Model Output form (1D Model > Horizontal Stress > Anisotropic Model > Model Output) in the Stress Contrast method workflow, you select the output logs that you want to generate and calculate the horizontal stress profiles.

On the form, you have three options to Select Output Logs that you want to generate and view on the Stress Contrast view.

Create Stiffness Logs The stiffness tensor logs for the anisotropy model are created and displayed on the Stress Contrast view. The default name of the log is: <stiffness tensor>_<anisotropy model> (1D case)

Create Compliance Logs The compliance logs for the anisotropy model are created and displayed on the Stress Contrast view. The default name of the log is: <compliance tensor>_<anisotropy model> (1D case)

Create Mechanical Properties The mechanical rock properties, i.e. Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio and Shear modulus, are created and displayed on the Stress Contrast view. Young's modulus is generated in the principle directions (Ex, Ey, Ez) while the Poisson's ratio (nyx, nzx, nzy) and Shear modulus (gyx, gzx, gzy) in the planar directions.

Select the horizontal stresses that you want to calculate. Check the adjacent checkbox to select Shmin and/or SHmax and click (Re)Calculate.

Click Show to open the Stress Contrast view where the output logs and horizontal stress profiles can be viewed.

If you regenerate the output, e.g. with a different anisotropy method, resulting output logs that you selected on the form are added to new track in the same view. Horizontal stresses are however added in the same track as the previously generated stress profiles.
