Texture Catalog

The Texture Catalog (Home > Settings) contains all the textures that can be used for display in the Well View. Upon opening the form, the default textures that are available in the application are listed. All the default textures are transparent textures. You can add or delete your own textures using the toolbar at the top of the form. The textures on the Texture Catalog are available for selection from the Texture drop-down lists on the Discrete Property Class Editor and the Template Editor.

The Well View enables you to visualize textures for both discrete and continuous logs, making it easier for you to interpret the displayed logs for the wells that are shown in the Well View.

To add a texture to the catalog

  1. Click the green plus icon () to open the import dialog.
  2. Select the image file you want to use as a texture.
Make sure that the maximum dimensions of the image file are 16x16 px.
  3. Click Open to add the file to the Texture Catalog and close the import dialog.
  4. On the Texture Catalog form, click Apply to save the new texture to the list and keep the form open, or click OK to save the new texture to the list and close the form.

The texture(s) that you add to the list, are saved inside the solution.

You can now use the newly added texture(s) for display in the Well View. To do so, see Displaying textures in the Well View.

To delete a texture from the catalog

  1. Select the texture in the list (the selected texture is indicated with a small arrow).
  2. Click the delete icon ().
  3. You are prompted with a dialog where you must confirm that you want to delete the texture.
  4. Click Apply to save the new texture to the Texture Catalog and keep the form open, or click OK to save the new texture and close the form.
When you delete a texture that is already used for display in the Well View, this texture cannot be shown anymore. Instead, the color is displayed.
