Dolomite-GMI-Literature-E
UCS = 64E0.34
where:
64 is a non-dimensional constant.
E is static Young modulus in psi.
This equation is derived from a synthesis of published data that includes only seven dolomite samples. The measured rock strength ranges between 9,000 and 15,000 psi and therefore, represents relatively strong rocks. The major weakness of this data set is the lack of information on the nature of the samples and the laboratory procedures. The applicability of this equation to well logs is limited to data sets with known static-dynamic correction factors.
