Catalogs

All catalogs work in a similar way; the user-defined properties are stored in the catalogs for each user but also inside a solution that uses the catalog.

Catalogs to view and/or edit lithology, property, color and unit definitions and attributes are provided in the JewelSuite 2026.1 Subsurface Modeling. A texture catalog is provided for the use of textures in the Well View.

Property Catalog

Define property types and templates. Every property of a data object (seismic volume, 3D grid, wellbore, tri-mesh, etc.) has a corresponding Property Template that specifies the property type. Each property type has settings that are applied to every property of this type. You can also define the various default object properties, which are populated automatically when creating new objects. For example, if you create a JewelGrid or Easy Grid, additional properties are added to the grid automatically. See The Property Catalog for details.

An application catalog is used for storing general application settings so that these will be available the next time you start a new project.

Lithology Catalog

View, create, and edit lithology definitions (ID, color, texture) and apply them to your model. See Lithology Catalog.

Texture Catalog

View and add new textures that can be used for display in the Well View. See Texture Catalog for more details.

Attribute Catalog

View, add and edit user-defined attributes to a selected object type. See Attribute Catalog for more details.
