Modify Grid
The Modify Grid button group in the model > 3D Grid strip contains the two buttons Grid Well Markers QC and Local Grid Refinement, each of them containing additional functionality related to horizons and markers in your 3D Grid. Under the Grid Well Markers QC button, the forms Validate Markers and Compute Mismatch are intended to help you identify marker input that is not correctly honored in the grid and compute all mismatches, so that you can resolve the conflicting situations. Such mismatches can be the result of missing markers or multiple wells going through a single grid cell with markers at different depths.
Using the options available under the Local Grid Refinement button, you can locally refine an existing grid. First, with the LGR Split Definition option, you set up the refinement of your 3D Grid, after which you define the grid area for refinement with the LGR Creation option. Once the LGR is created, you can synchronize and upscale/downscale selected grid cell properties.
