Facies modeling tools

The Tools button group (model > Facies > Tools) consists of tools you can use to prepare and analyze the data you use in the Facies Modeling workflow. Some of these tools are suited for both discrete (facies) and continuous (rock properties) data, and are therefore available on the Rock Properties sub-strip as well.

Upscaling your well log - Use this form to upscale facies (discrete) as well as rock property (continuous) logs, to use in the Facies Modeling or Rock Property Modeling workflows.

Analyzing your property with the Property Chart View - This tool opens a dedicated Property Chart View which lets you statistically analyze your raw, upscaled and modeled properties via auto-generated histograms and (if applicable) Vertical Proportion Curves.

Training Image (TI) Library - Holds a collection of pre-made training images to get you quickly started with MPS (Multi-Point Statistics) modeling.

The 'Map Properties' tools - Seven tools are combined in this button. Use these tools to map onto, or transport between objects (for example grids).

Facies smoothing- Use this tool to smooth discrete grid properties.

Calculating connected volumes - Calculate and visualize a connected volume of grid cells.
