Facies smoothing

You can use the Facies Smoothing tool (model > Facies > Smooth Facies) to quickly smooth grid properties. You select the grid, the corresponding property for the operation, and define the lateral and vertical extent of the smoothing process. To use the Facies Smoothing tool:

1. Specify the Grid and Property to which you want to apply the smoothing.
2. In Lateral foot print and Vertical foot print, specify the dimension (the diameter expressed in number of cells) of the area of the grid to smooth.
3. Select the wells to which you want to apply the facies smoothing operation.
4. To smooth the properties, click OK.
