Creating fluid model logs
Use the Fluid Model Logs option under the Output Tools button (model > Fluids > Output Tools) to create logs which are output of your fluid model. Based on the aggregated well data and the information you enter in the Fluid modeling workflow, the following log sets can be created:
- Compartment Log A discrete log which indicates the compartments along the wellbore.
- Fluid Leg Log A discrete log which indicates the fluid type (e.g. oil, gas, water etc.), where the fluid type is solely an outcome of your fluid model.
- Pressure Log Fluid pressure information calculated as an outcome of your fluid model. It indicates the pressure gradient lines where the fluids are in hydrostatic equilibrium for each compartment.
The created logs will appear in the JewelExplorer under the Well Data > All Logs item with the following naming convention: 'Log Type Name' 'Fluid Model Name'. Using the Well View, you can compare the compartment logs (i.e. output of your fluid model) with the well logs (i.e. input to your fluid model) to QC your fluid model.
To create fluid model logs
- From the Model drop-down list, select the fluid model of interest.
- In the Log Sets section, check the boxes for the logs you want to create.
- In the Wellbores table, check the boxes for the wellbores you want to create logs for.
- Click OK to create the logs and close the form, or click Apply to create the logs and keep the form open.
While creating logs for a fluid model with paleo FWL, the fluid region discrete log includes additional classes - Paleo, Reservoir/Paleo, Paleo/Non-Pay and Reservoir/Paleo/Non-Pay. The existing 3D grid properties and property logs, if any, are also updated to account for the hydrocarbon in the paleo zone.
