Creating 2D maps and reports

As input, 2D mapping uses a geological grid in which zones can be selected at various stratigraphic hierarchy levels, and 3D property grids. For each vertical grid stack the required property is calculated and mapped to the 2D output grid. The resulting maps and properties of this operation appear in the JewelExplorer under the Maps item of the Data folder.

Values are calculated per grid cell and the 2D maps represent the calculated values per vertical grid stack.

Important  2D mapping is supported only for grids with vertical pillars (e.g. JewelGrid, Easy Grid). Grids with non-vertical pillars (e.g. slanted pillar grids), which might have been imported from other applications, are not supported.
