Property average

Use the Property Average form (model > Maps & Reports) to create a 2D grid map of the average property value of all cells that belong to the selected zone classes.

Important  2D mapping is supported only for grids with vertical pillars (e.g. JewelGrid, Easy Grid). Grids with non-vertical pillars (e.g. slanted pillar grids), which might have been imported from other applications, are not supported.
  1. Select a grid the property is mapped to.
  2. On the Zone Selection tab, select the Zones and appropriate Subzones.
  3. On the Properties tab, select the property that you want to average. Depth is always generated as a property too.
  4. To execute the mapping process and close the form, click OK. If not already created, a map item named after the zone you specified in step 2 is created in the Data > Maps folder. Inside this map item you will find the Depth and Bo properties that were created, and can visualize them in the 3D View and the CoView.

Zones  Select the zone level. This defines the content of the Subzones list.

Select Subzones Select the subzone that the property is mapped to. You must select at least one subzone to run the mapping process.

Combine selected zones in the map  If you selected subzones, then select this option to make one map and combine the data of all selected zones. Otherwise, separate maps are generated for each subzone.

Interpolation across small faults  Select to apply an interpolated property value across small faults.

Property  Select the property to map. The list shows all available properties.
