Defining 3D grid properties for a volumetric case
On the 3D Grid Properties form (model > Volumetrics) you can specify or review the properties which are required as input for volumetric calculations.
JewelSuite also allows you to perform probabilistic volumetric calculations. To do this, you need to specify at least one grid property with multiple realizations. The volumetric calculations will be performed and reported for each realization. The realizations which most closely approximate the specified probability ranges (e.g. P10, P50, P90) will be indicated in the Volumetrics Report.
To define the 3D grid properties
-
From the Case drop-down list, select the case of interest.
If you need to check the associated 3D grid, hover over the factsheet icon (
) adjacent to the case drop-down list.
- For each of the properties on the Reservoir and Fluid tabs you need to specify a value. The properties in the Adsorbed Gas tab are optional. To manually specify a property, select Constant and type in a value in the entry field. To specify a property using a 3D grid property, click the Property button and select a property from the drop-down list. If you have assigned a fluid model and a saturation model to your case in the Assign Data step, then the properties listed on the Fluid tab will be automatically filled in and grayed-out.
- Click Apply to define the properties and keep the form open, or click OK to define the properties and proceed to the Reporting Regions step.
Reservoir tab Net to gross, porosity
Fluid tab Saturations (So, Sg), formation volume factors (Bo, Bg, Bw), solution gas/oil ratio (Rs), vaporized oil/gas ratio (Rv)
Adsorbed Gas Adsorbed gas content, rock density
