2D grid tools
You will generally have imported 2D grids and assigned them to a surface set or seismic interpretation, or interpreted them based on seismic data during preparation of your data. Prior to using them in the modeling process, you may want to clean them up in various ways.
To edit a 2D grid on a node by node basis in a table, see Editing 2D grids.. To edit a 2D grid graphically in a view, see Graphical editing with the floating palette.
The 2D Grid Tools button group on the prepare > Post-Processing Tools strip includes various tools to help you with this. These tools allow you, for example, to update the connectivity information for 2D grids and create larger gaps around faults, remove the intersections between 2D grids by clipping the depth values of one grid onto the other surface, and convert 2D grids into polyline sets or tri-meshes, or into new 2D grids.
