Filling gaps in 2D grids
During the process of preparing and checking your data, you may encounter small gaps in a 2D grid. You can use the Fill Gaps tool, which is part of the Smoothing process, to fill these in by interpolating the values which are on the border of the gap. To do this:
-
Open the Fill Gaps tool (prepare > Post-Processing Tools > Smoothing > Fill Gaps).
- On the Fill Gaps form, select the source in the Model drop-down box that contains the 2D grid you want to work on. All the 2D grids in this source are shown underneath.
- Check the checkboxes of the 2D grids that have gaps you want to fill.
- Specify the Gap size (the maximum number of empty traces where values are interpreted).
- Click Apply or OK to run the operation and fill the gaps per your settings.
