Refining

Use the Refine tool to add nodes on the interpreted polylines. Enter the desired segment length. All polyline segments that are longer than the specified value are refined by the addition of extra nodes.

Other smoothing options for polyline sets are also available and include removal of nodes to simplify polylines and de-spiking functionality.

  1. From the list of the available polyline sets in the selected source, select the polyline set(s) to modify by checking the individual check boxes.

    Segment length  specifies the length of the segments which will be subdivided. All segments longer than this threshold will be subdivided.

  2. Click Apply or OK.
