Correlating wells

Well correlation can be used to map surfaces throughout the reservoir in order to create a fine scaled and accurate geological representation of geological features. You can quickly and easily correlate wells based on your well log data using the Well View. Surface intersections can also be displayed in the Well View to compare the intersections with the existing well marker set. Mismatches between surfaces and markers can be corrected using the Depth Well Matching tool in the prepare> Post-Processing Tools strip, or Well matching later in the Structural Modeling workflow, ensuring full consistency between wells, surfaces, and log data.
