Build Deck

Building the simulation deck is the last step of the Abaqus workflow. The build Build Deck form (simulate > Abaqus > Build Deck) is used both for validation of all the required input data for simulation and to generate the input deck.

  1. At the top of the form, select the Abaqus case of interest.

Build Options

Delete all user edits  If you select this option the user edits will be deleted once the deck is built.

Delete all previous output/results  If you select this option all previous output and results are completely removed from the deck during the build process.

Open Deck View

Open deck view after building deck  If you select this option, Deck View will automatically open in read-only mode after the deck is built.

  1. Select the preferred option(s), then click Apply to apply your selection while keeping the form open, or OK to apply and close the form.
