Defining rock-fluid regions

The Rock-Fluid Data form is used to create or modify rock-fluid regions. Two data tables are included on this form, which are used for defining analytical rock-fluid and creating rock-fluid regions from correlations.

All settings on this form are optional.

Describing and creating rock-fluid regions

  1. The first table on the form is used to describe the rock-fluids within a region in the reservoir. You can open the Rock-Fluid Data View by clicking the Edit region button.

Load settings  Select the settings for the table from one of the pre-defined options in the drop-down list.

Analytical rock-fluid table  Fluid settings, saturations, relative permeabilities and exponents are specified in this table. Note that the right-click context menu for each cell allows you to change the number format if desired.

Edit region  Opens the Rock-Fluid Data view for the active simulation case.

  2. This table is used when a new rock-fluid region is to be created from a correlation. This control specifies the region name and region ID to be used for the new region. The '# of Saturation Values' entry indicates how many values between 0 and 1 inclusive will be created for the Sw and Sg columns in the created table.

Create region  Creates the rock-fluid region with the specified parameters.
