Rock-Fluid Data

The Rock-Fluid Data form is used to create or modify the RelPerm regions that will be submitted to the tNavigator™ simulator. Two data tables are included in this panel, which are used for defining analytical RelPerm and creating RelPerm regions from correlations.

All settings in this form are optional.
  1. Use the RelPerm table to describe the rock-fluid within a region in the reservoir. The first section of the table, fluid settings, is used to constrain what input is used. The System row is one of the following: 3 Phase, Oil/Water, or Gas/Water. The check boxes in the next two rows determine whether capillary pressure and capillary imbibition’s pressure values are generated. The remaining sections of the table are for specifying the Rel Perm values.
  2. Use the RelPerm region creation table when a new rock-fluid region is to be created from a correlation. This control specifies the region name and region ID to be used for the new region. The '# of Saturation Values' entry indicates how many values between 0 and 1 inclusive will be created for the Sw and Sg columns in the created table. Clicking the Create region button will create a region based on the specified parameters.
  3. RelPerm regions can be modified through manual edits or by importing regions from other simulations. Click Edit regions to open the Rock-Fluid Data view for the active case. If you wish to import RelPerm regions, click the Import regions button to open an import dialog you can use to search for and select the regions file (*.inc).
