Creating a volumetric study

The first step of the Volumetrics Study workflow (study > Volumetrics > Volumetric Study > Create Study) enables you to create a new volumetric study, or select an existing one to review or modify it.

To create a new study

1. On the Create Study form, select Create new in the drop-down list.
2. Type a name for the study in the adjacent text field.
3. (Optional) In the Description field you can write the specifications of the study. This could contain the following:
• Purpose of the study
• Supporting arguments for envisioned or existing volumetric concepts
• Observations and data references
• Reference to regional (or any other) background knowledge
4. Click Apply to create the study and keep the form open, or click OK to create the study and proceed to the Assign Data step.
