Attribute Table
The Attribute Table (Workspace > Views) gives an overview of the attributes (and their values) that are available for a selected object type in your solution. Attribute values can be object derived, or user-defined.
Working with the Attribute Table, you
- Have a data table that conveniently shows all the attribute information that is available for objects in one place.
- Can copy and paste the data to any other application for further use.
When you open a new Attribute Table, nothing is visualized yet. To show data, select an object type from the drop-down list at the top of the table. For some of the object types an additional filter is available. See table below for an overview.
| Object Type | Filter on |
|---|---|
| Geographic feature | Feature set |
| Log | Wellbore |
| Marker | Marker set |
| Well |
Well group |
| Well event | Category |
| Wellbore | Well group |
After making a selection, the Attribute Table populates. All items of the selected object type that are present in your solution are listed in the table. If you selected a filter, only the filtered items are listed.
Entries in the table that are object derived are read-only, and those cells entries are grayed out. Entries that are user-defined can be edited in the table. To do so, double click in the cell you want to edit, and enter a value of the correct type (e.g., you can not enter letters when the value type is set to integer), or select the correct value from the drop-down (if the value type is set to Boolean).
The cells in the table cannot be left empty. If there is no value for an attribute, the cell value is automatically set to null. To change a null value, double click on the cell and press enter, or select a new value from the drop-down list (if the value type is set to Boolean).
Attribute Table toolbar
The toolbar at the top of the Attribute Table can be used to open the Attribute Catalog, and to set all the values of a user-defined attribute to null in one click.

Set null values This tool is only active if user-defined values have been entered in the table. Deletes all the user-defined values for the selected item(s). You can use the CTRL and the Shift keys to multiselect items in the table. You will be prompted with a confirmation dialog. You can also reset individual entries by selecting the cell and press Delete on your keyboard. |
