Advanced simulation options with Abaqus

By default, the Abaqus workflow as described in previous sections sets up a simulation case for linear elastic geomechanics simulation in response to dynamic pore pressure changes. With Abaqus offering many more options, deviations from this default typically require edits to the simulation deck. However, for simulating moving faults or slipping surfaces and for including thermal effects with Abaqus, JewelSuite offers dedicated functionality, which is described in the following sections.
