Checking seismic data without importing

If you want to quickly check the seismic data before you import it, in context with other reservoir data in the 3D View, click Cancel on the Optimize form. The seismic data is then shown in QC mode in the 3D View. This mode includes only inline and crossline slices. Depth slices and Volume displays are not available. This view is meant only for quickly checking the seismic data against other reservoir data, such as interpreted surfaces. Thus, tools such as the property calculator, and seismic interpretation and editing tools are not available.

After you have checked the seismic data, you can use Data > Seismic > Import > Optimize to complete the import process. For more information, see Optimize form.
