Create regions (context menu option)
A region is a user-defined (or computed) part of a 3D grid and described by a property ('RegionId') on that grid. With the Create > Regions option of the context menu of a 3D grid, you open the the Select discrete properties form where you can create a 'RegionID' property based on two discrete input properties. The common denominator of the classes of the two input properties will form the classes of the 'RegionID' property.
To create regions
- On the Select discrete properties form, select a discrete property to use as filter from the 'Filter property '1 drop-down list.
- Select another discrete property to use as filter from the 'Filter property 2' drop-down list.
- Click OK to create the regions and close the form.
The created 'RegionID' property is stored in the JewelExplorer under the grid. All the regions will be visualized in your active view. You can use the Inspector (Ctrl+F3) to select individual regions for display.
