Graphically editing fluid level surfaces

After generating fluid level surfaces on the Fluids levels form, you can use the graphical tools on the floating palette (Workspace > Tools > Editing Tools) to interactively adjust the fluid level surfaces in the Well View. Use the Move Fluid Level tool to change the depth of the fluid level surface(s).

  1. In the JewelExplorer, select the wells and the Fluid Level Surfaces from the Fluid Compartments folder of the Fluid Model. Select logs if necessary. open the Editing Tools. On the Floating Palette, the Well Tools are populated.
    In the Well View toolbar, change the depth projection Measure to TVDSS to view the fluid level(s) projected laterally at same depth across multiple well tracks.
  2. Click the Move Fluid Level icon to make the tool active. Hover over the fluid level surface (FWL or GOC), the cursor changes into a double sided arrow to indicate that movement can occur.
  3. Click to select the fluid level surface and move your mouse up or down the well track to the new depth.
  4. The fluid surface level in the other tracks will update with the selected depth, and the values on the Fluid Levels and Pressure Overview forms (Model > Fluids) are updated with the new depths as well.
