Creating groups with the Run Operation form

The Run Operation form provides a flexible and comprehensive means of adding wells to a well group via object-specific filters. First create a new well group, then use the form to populate the new well group with only the wells that meet the selected criteria.

To open the Run Operation form, select the Create new group using filter option from the object context menu. Based on the object that is active in the JewelExplorer, the submenu shows the available filtering options for that object. Once a filter is selected, the filter operation form will appear.

In the filter operations panel you can set the parameters for the group to be created.

1. Select admin  For common filter options you can change the object that the group will be created for. For example, filtering by name is a common filtering option, available to each grid object. Though the filter operations panel may have been opened while the markers folder in the JewelExplorer was selected, you can switch to any of the other grid objects and create a group.
2. Use items from  In this step you can select the object group to be filtered.
3. Move results of filtering to group  Here you can select an existing group to put the filtered objects in, or create a new group by typing in a new group name.
4. Filtering criteria  Depending on the filter being used, you can select or specify the filter parameters for the operation.
5. Additional filtering options  In the final step you can choose to invert the filtering results when the group is created.
