Running a simulation

Important   All simulation jobs are run locally. Before proceeding, verify that the simulator you intend to use is already installed on the same machine as JewelSuite Subsurface Modeling.

When you have validated your simulation case and built the deck, the simulation can be started from the Run Simulations form. Upon starting the simulation, the data is submitted to the locally installed simulator, processed, and the results are returned. The specific results and information you see during and after a simulation run depend on the options you specify in the Run Simulations form. By default, a log of the simulation process and an output view with a description of the results are displayed. The output files generated as a result of the simulation, such as maps and Production Data views, are also available when the simulation has finished. For other simulation options, or to change the information displayed during and after a simulation, see the Run or Schedule help topic for the particular simulator you are working with.

This section of the help provides descriptions of the simulation log and the output results view that are displayed by default when a simulation is run using any of the reservoir simulators available in JewelSuite 2026.1 Subsurface Modeling.
