Create Temperature

With the Create Temperature form you create a new, dynamic temperature property for your 3D mesh. The inputs for this property are the initial temperature that is available for your full 3D mesh (defined in the Temperature step in the Geomechanics workflow, model > Geomechanics > Temperature), and the dynamic reservoir temperature that is mapped to the reservoir zone of your 3D mesh. For mapping, use the Property Mapping Tool under the Tools workspace.

The result is a temperature property with time steps for the full model.

Important   The temperature property that is created cannot have undefined values

To create the pore pressure

  1. At the top of the form select the Abaqus case of interest from the drop-down list.
  2. Select the Initial temperature from the drop-down list. All temperature properties without time steps on the 3D mesh are listed.
  3. Select the Reservoir temperature. All temperature properties with time steps on the 3D mesh are listed.
  4. Type a name for the new temperature property in the Dynamic property name text field.
  5. Click OK to create the property, close the form and go to the next step in the workflow, Steps.
